Diary ideas
How to start a diary with just one line
Start with something small
A diary does not have to cover your whole day. Choose one thing you noticed: a song on your walk, a good lunch, or a conversation you want to remember.
Try: ‘The walk home was quiet today. I needed that.’ That is enough for an entry.
Choose one easy prompt
If a blank page feels difficult, finish one of these sentences. You can use the same prompt tomorrow.
- Today I noticed…
- Right now I feel…
- One thing I want to remember is…
- Something small that made me smile was…
Write when it fits your day
You can jot down a thought while it is fresh or leave a line before bed. Choose a moment that fits your life. Missing a day does not mean you need to start over.
Make it yours
A short sentence, a photo with a caption, or a few unfinished thoughts can all belong in your diary. There is no audience to impress.
JotDiary gives you a personal timeline for quick thoughts and photos, with separate diaries and a calendar for looking back. Start with one little thought from today.
